Online learning is significantly different than the traditional classroom experience. Perhaps the biggest difference–and one of the main attractions of online learning–is that the class is run at your convenience! In other words, you will be ‘attending’ class when it is convenient for you, not at a specific time when the entire class meets, as in a face-to-face situation. This is known as an asynchronous class. Furthermore, you will ‘attend’ class virtually, over the Internet.
